Received Date: Jan 01, 2025 / Published Date: Jan 31, 2025
Abstract
Pediatric cancer therapy has made significant advancements, yet treatment-related toxicity remains a major challenge, impacting long-term health outcomes. Precision medicine offers a promising approach to minimizing toxicity by tailoring therapies based on genetic, molecular, and pharmacokinetic profiles. This strategy involves biomarkerdriven treatment selection, pharmacogenomics-guided dosing, and novel targeted therapies that reduce off-target effects. Additionally, advancements in immunotherapy and personalized supportive care play crucial roles in improving treatment tolerability while maintaining efficacy. This review explores current precision medicine strategies in pediatric oncology aimed at reducing toxicity, enhancing quality of life, and optimizing therapeutic success.
