Abstract

Small-scale urban livestock farming is emerging as a key innovation in creating sustainable, resilient urban food systems. As cities face growing challenges related to food security, environmental sustainability, and resource management, integrating livestock farming into urban spaces offers a promising solution to address these concerns. This paper explores the role of small-scale livestock farming in urban environments, focusing on innovative practices and technologies that enhance sustainability while meeting the needs of urban populations. By incorporating animals such as poultry, goats, and rabbits into city landscapes, urban farming can improve local food production, reduce food waste, and contribute to the circular economy.
